Saints Hills Le Chiffre Magnum 1.5 l

Le Chiffre is the Chardonnay from Saints Hills, from the Sv. Ante vineyard in Istria – here in the magnum bottle. It ferments and matures exclusively in new French barriques; after 12 to 14 months in the barrel it rests a further six months in the bottle. Wine Enthusiast magazine included Le Chiffre in its list of the Top 100 Wines of the World 2023 (35th place).

Taste

Clear gold in the glass. On the nose apple and pear, plus peach and fig, followed by lemon and lime zest, vanilla, butter and honey. Complex and multi-layered on the palate, with ripe peach and apricot, vanilla, brioche and shortcrust pastry; a very long finish with a typically buttery echo.

Pairs well with

Lobster and shellfish, fish in butter sauce, light poultry and mature cheeses – and as a magnum ideal for festive gatherings.
