Vina Delmati Kompozicija Red Wine 0.75 l

Kompozicija is the red cuvée from Vina Delmati, made from Plavka, Merlot and Vranac, grown on vines around 60 years old in the Jezero wine-growing area near Vrgorac. After ten days of fermentation on the skins in open concrete vats, the wine matures for 18 months in a concrete tank, which preserves freshness and crisp red fruit, and a further eight months in the bottle.

Taste

Medium ruby red, medium- to full-bodied, with intense notes of ripe plums, wild raspberries and eucalyptus. Juicy and round on the palate, with velvety tannins and a spicy finish.

Pairs well with

Soft cheese, poultry or veal cooked under the Peka. Serve at 14–16 °C.

About the winery

Vina Delmati is named after the Delmatae, the ancient people from whom Dalmatia takes its name. The winery is reviving old vineyards in Jezero, Dalmatia's largest wine-growing area, located in a karst field on the river Matica, and matures its wines in concrete.
